Laura Harper, C. Ped (C)
I attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During my degree I completed co-op work as a student technician at the Rehabilitation Centre for Children. My experience included fabrication of custom orthotics and prosthetics, specifically thermoplastic AFOs.
My further education was completed in England at the University of Salford, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. My degree included placements in hospitals and orthotic/prosthetic clinics working with the Orthotists and Prosthetists assessing and dispensing appropriate aids. This also provided me valuable experience in creating appropriate treatment plans.
I moved back to Canada in 2014 and worked as an Orthotic Resident in Surrey. And most recently as a Pedorthic Clinician in the lower mainland, becoming a Canadian Certified Pedorthist in 2017.
